NGK seem to have changed something in recent years which has impacted some of their more basic plugs, not what they used to be (I half wonder if they now just buy in the basic plugs given the volume has moved to more advanced plugs for turbo engines)

Rusted from the seam where the two parts are spot welded together. Probably because that area is the one most likely to flex.
One of many reasons I don't bother with the strip/clean/paint/polish knackered GM wishbones routine.

So corroded out from between the halves and fractured along a stress line from the original pressing?

As opposed to a fatigue failure as you might find on the rear bush or ball joint mounting that are weakest in the direction of suspension movement...

Filled the Range Rover with fuel & then fetched the caravan out of storage off to Yorkshire for a few days ( Bolton Abbey) a lot of walking planned + pub lunches 😎

Fitted the Austin body back on the chassis, that took ages faffing around with one jack and axle stands. Still its on my wheeled frame so it can be moved easy. Today I will be trying to move my lads Integra and get it on the scissor lift hoping he will come and work on it as he has not touched it for 18 months and its pissing me off stuck in my way. This will be "fun"  as there is no front suspension , borrowed a wheeled trolley to go under front subframe that should make it easy to swing around . Have a good couple of hours moving shit and all the suspension bits that are under first.

Fitted new adjuster motor to nearside door mirror of the 960 after some scrote broke it in a [spectacularly failed]attempt to nick the mirror glass >:(

Final myriad of parts arrived for the manual gearbox conversion on the E24 . refaced flywheel to be collected on Friday and then we are under starters orders ...
