Took V70 for M.o.T. it failed :'( Fortunately it was only on a broken rear spring so as soon as the new ones arrive [although only one is broken I'm replacing both as it's stupid not to]it'll be a case of getting out and under to fit those.

Should be as simple as undoing the shock and a bit of heaving

Yes to undoing the damper from the  trailing arm,however there is a nut under the trailing arm which holds the lower spring mounting and the "bolt" that this screws onto has a tendency to spin when undoing the nut Volvo in their wisdom gave this "bolt" a round flat head [rather like a rivet]making it hard to get a decent grip on especially as it's in the centre of the spring coils.

Give it a damn good spaying before you start, let it soak a bit patience is concentrated strength👍

Noticed that the headlights ( plastic covered area) on the RRS were starting to show their age & getting cloudy, I had some plastic/acrylic restorer in the garage that I use on the caravan windows so gave it a go & a fantastic result lights look like new again.

Fitted new rear springs on V70 yesterday and a retest pass today

Unlocked it & got my sunglasses out, too damn hot to drive anywhere so bit more meat on the BBQ &  a few more cans it's absolutely glorious here in Norfolk.☀️☀️☀️
