Looked at the cause of my exhaust blow and found this ;D ;D

Now questions are, do I get it replaced or welded up or scrap the car and get a proper omega with a proper engine :D

Also why do they crack?

Like to know, mine has not done it. 174k on X plate. Yet FatherT's started doing it at around 100k on a Y plate.

Mines 137k on a Y. I don't know if short journeys have any thing to do with it?
That's the only thing that I do to it never really go on long runs.

Difficult to weld that stuff, needs a lot of preheat before welding so would need to come off the car

How do you paint a hole ???

You can paint the material surrounding the hole ... you can pass a brush through the hole ... but I don't see how you "paint a hole" ??   :D :D :D :D :D

There's a special way to paint a hole  ::) A lot of the paint ends up on the drive  ::) I passed the brush through the hole and around the adjacent prepared areas  :P

Noticed the ac isn't working.

Gets sort of cold eventually.

Open bonnet. Pump spinning. But ac pipes are not cold in the engine bay with no condensation on them. Doh!

Local ac man came round and re gassed it. Still holding pressure so no leak. Mmmm nice and cold again. £70 delivered, with die and ac bomb/bacteria killer thingy.

Let's hope it stays charged. :)

our local VX charge that, but they give the car a valet as well., but then that's near Reading prices.

Yet another Oil and Filter change on the 2.6. Painted some of the bits that have been damaged by the trolley jack over time to ensure they don't rust.
