Later this morning I'm replacing the 2 front tyres. £150 lighter in the pocket  :(

Stop and Tail light bulbs. CID was getting rather irritating on the journey home on the crawling M5 / M42.

Put it through an awfully large, deep puddle at a speed fast enough to think "Opps", but had foresight to slap it in neutral, keep revs above 2k, slam in first, and gently crawl it out.

Cleaned the drivers seat.

The 2 things are related.

Spent most of the last two days trawling through every compare and cashback option to get cheap insurance for both cars.
Aviva renewal for both was £450,which I didnt think was too bad tbh,but it looks like Im going to reduce that by well over £100. :)
Got a dry spell yesterday morning so got the Cavalier back on the road again.

Went through that pain myself in last couple of days. Just over £500 for the pair, with all the declared mods, and business use.

The LC moved under it's own steam for the first time in over two years!!! it only got a trundle up the drive and had to wait in the rain while I replaced disc and pads on my Dad's motor. Problem is, two years worth of dust got soggy and now it looks like it's covered in a thin layer of porridge  :-[

I wish :'( :'( :'( My renewal this year was just a tad shy of £3k :o :o :o

But that is for 4 drivers, full trade, Fully comp (any vehicle), Public and Employers Liability and any number of own vehicles ::) ;D

As for the car... Looked at it and thought I really should go and get it cleaned :-[ Then took the dog over the woods in it so it's even dirtier ::) ::)

Replaced four air breather 'O' rings.  Waiting for the main one to go underneath the black boxes on the plenum tomorrow. ;)

Fitted the final 'O' ring of the breather system boxes on top of the plenum.  The bugger that I did not realise was ever there between the black plastic boxes and the plenum, that makes every difference to the smooth idling of the engine.

Also replaced the three bolts holding the boxes onto the plenum. :y :y

All as sweet as roses now.  Car running 'as new' :-* :-* :D ;)
