 :D :D :D :D :D :D

Did ponder new discs, however the caliper is sticking on the outside. So until thats fixed, pointless in new discs. Inside edge has worn fine, with caliper off, I pumped brake to push piston out. Inside piston comes out ok, but outside one barley moves, does a bit, but not much.

So going to try again this weekend, keep pumping brake and pushing inside back in, trying to get outside one out.

Unless any other suggestions?  :-\

Put a new pad in the working side and an old one on the sticking side, refit the pins and try to cycle the piston to free it off :y

A bucket load of brake cleaner and a wire brush might help first :y

Cycle it?  :-\

Popped brand new pads in both sides around 6 months, maybe a year ago now.

Force it out with hydraulic pressure, then lever it back in ::) repeat until freedom is restored, but you need as much pad as possible between the free piston and the disc in order to concentrate the pressure behind the sticking piston, which in turn needs as little pad as possible to allow maximum travel without actually popping the piston out :y

A pad worn to nearly the backing plate should suffice, but need the retaining pins in place to stop the pad twisting.

Got ya  :y

Both pads are equal in thickness, so will reassemble, pop inside pad back in, then pump the brake.

Did'nt think of that, as you say will force outside one to hopefully come out and say hello  :)

Cheers for that  :y

Rear disks/drums replaced .... much easier than expected ... hand brake shoes hardly worn so the new ones are going back to the dealers :)

Followed by and oil and filter change .. :)
