my body is now in talks with management about better pay and working conditions.     all that leaning in to the back of the engine bay for the HBV has crippled me.....

Rear bushes gone on yours anyway aren't they Kev ?

Rear bushes on the front wishbones were suspected, yes, but the creaking noises really sounded like they were coming from the front bush / anti-roll bar pivot area. No movement in anything that I can find, but didn't look that hard. Hmm. might be worth greasing the poly bushes? Tramlining could be down to 1/2 worn Enduros on the front? Might be time to rotate them to the back anyway, looking at the wear pattern.

Let me rephrase.
Rearward bushes are fubar.

Unless you changed them since we last spoke?

Yes poly do squeak, did groomers at Wycombe. Easy on ramps, just unbolt... Etc.

But if your pressing rearward bushes....

What I do understand is its cured the creaking.

What I don't understand is that its cured the clunking, and the slight tramline I thought I had on the way to Wycombe (though that felt like it was steering from the rear)  :-\.  I just can not get my head around suspension.

For example, the wishbone rear bushes are "passed their best", but now the bastard drives straight as an arrow (albeit with offcentre steering wheel, but I know the pothole that did that a few months back). Why does it drive so well with shagged bushes? Me no understandy.

//TB pisses off to the pub. Thats something he can understand.

.......... Hmm. might be worth greasing the poly bushes?

Certainly worked for me.  :y Mine creaked really badly over speed humps. I found the cause by putting the front end on stands, jacked up the hub and then dumping the jack at full speed. Soon found the cause in my primitive way.  ;D
Re-greased the poly's and it's as quiet as a mouse now.  :y

I never greased mine when fitted to the Elite, and I don't hear them creaking - but as I have Shack Ear that probably accounts for it. :-\ ::) ::)
