Think fixed the droaning around town, couple of weeks ago when FatherT returned home, heard awful rattling from back. Sounded heat-shield, but upon further looking one of the centre exhaust pipes into the back box was loose  ???

Knew it was ok before as me and little fatty fitted it, not few months before. Tightened it up, all good now. Appears to have reduced the noise.

Today, took 3.2 down to the New Forrest with bikes on top, managed to average 28mpg  :o

Looking good tunnie  8) . I do like those wheels  :-*

Chucked a bottle of CataClean in the 3.2 two weeks ago and have noticed better mpg. Reset computer and over just under 30 miles averaged around 31mpg mixed driving mainly cruising on A roads though. Not bad for the old dinosaur big VX  :y

That would be an interesting long term thread the way things are going..

"So how much MPG did you get out your car today?"

or something like that. ?

Got a pair of Potenza 235/45R17 tyres fitted on the front to match the pair on the rear. :y

While I was waiting I discovered why the intermittent brake light warning hadn't gone away after changing the nearside bulb - the offside bulb had finally failed  ::)

MOT'd the Omega - clearly the season for MOTs..

Passed with flying colours although the lambda reading was a tad close to the maximum allowable (1.030 IIRC and it read out at 1.025)
