Once again , THEY WERE PERFECT driven 32,000 miles with no problems , funny enough if it rains I turn them on!!  What  a stupid comment can't use them much .
Tilbo, did you find them noisy, esp when changing direction?

I'm after some new wipers, and struggling to know what to get (MV6, so dont need the shitty aero style). GM ones are getting pricy, and dont seem to last as well. Might try the Bosch supers that tunnie suggests. Currently using a year old set of Goodyears aero from Costco, but I really dont like aero wipers poor cleaning performance (though a requirement on cars with those stupid overactive rain sensors). At £7 I way try Hellfrauds own brand
Normally get a few sets of these. Last well over a year, clean well & very quiet

Those Halfords branded ones were silent to start within, but inside 3 months they were stupidly loud!

Hi The Boy, I had no problems whatsoever with the Halfords wipers, as I said I fitted them at the beginning of 2011 & have only just replaced them as they had started to leave small streaks. I also have a Hyundai Terracan which I replaced with Halfords wipers the ones I took off it were Bosch & made a terrible screeching noise, according to the service records these were only 18 months old.I gave a friend a lift into work yesterday in heavy rain (in the mig ) & he remarked how good the wipers were & that he really must replace the ones on his Mazda, so yes I would recommend them they were smooth & silent on the Omega.Used set 28 for  the mig I think they were £15.99.

Thanks Tilbo. They are about £7 on Halfords trade.

Did they make a slap noise when changing direction, thats a pet hate of mine.

If those are the one's you were unhappy with what's the point of giving them to someone else?

Parked it at a garage in order to try this...

http://www.burnhamgarage.co.uk/vauxhall/used-cars/628/vauxhall-insignia/

Almost tempted, but lpging it looks a touch awkward, which is a shame as the test drive struggled to reach 18mpg ::)

Nice to drive, plenty of grunt for playing, but just as happy tootling... interior a bit claustrophobic, especially in the back as the windscreen view is obscured by the very supportive front seats :-\

This particular car has done 53k and has what looks like a gearbox oil leak... any one heard of significant problems with the drive train on these :-\

Overall an interesting proposition, but the mileage, leak, overdue service and base VXR spec all explain the price...

Come now, There are far more ugly cars out there, I even made a thread on ugly new cars awhile back,

The way cars have gone these days the Insignia kinda looks Like a mix between fun and classy in Elite/VXR spec. All the rest I'd consider dull.

Looks a nice car from the pictures that white "10" plate.
