Who said anything about the 2.2?
He needs an estate and can't bring himself to fit the lpg kit to a desmond estate, as that would mean getting rid of the desmond saloon... not helped by liking the 3.2 ::)

That desmond saloon needs a conversation with a bin lorry to force a decision :-X

As usual, spot on.  :y

The key problem is I cannot let go of my trusty 2.2, I would have to have my hand forced. Either by it having a physical reshape or combination of clutch & hg going.

I do get clutch judder/slip, 2nd gear low speed judder then clears. 171K on same clutch and original HG on a 4 pot. Can't help but feel I'm borrowed time  :(

Easy fixes though, and probably worth it if the bodywork is good.  :y

That's the problem. Body work is solid, exhaust good, recent wishbones new belt kit. Cheap repairs, no reason to chop it in!

Fit an upright toroidal in the spare wheel well. They have their draw backs, but I doubt a certain Tunnie will notice tbh.

Range is the problem, not many LPG filling sites that a nice and local. One on my commute which is good, but nothing around here.  :(

We can rustle up a plasma cutter and a couple of welders.. We'll convert your saloon into an estate. There you go.. problem solved. :y

Yup, definitely no lpg within two minutes of Camberley ::)

Fleet service station on the A3013/327 junction
Fleet services both sides
Dedicated place in Farnborough
Cobham Sainsburys
A couple of places in Bracknell

To name but a few, not to mention the rest of the world ::)

You have seen LPG Motorway prices? Might as well run the Elite  ::)

Bracknell, no reason to go there, it's not on a commute. Long way to go just to stick some fuel in, same with the rest, either way, range is a problem as I keep saying  ::)

Where's the place in Farnborough, out of interest?

The A3013/A327 one is the cheapest in the area and where I normally fill up. There's one on the A31 at Farnham too. More expensive - normally 71-73p but a very fast pump, especially if you have a 4 hole tank.

Fleet services are very reasonable, IMHO. Currently 69.9 IIRC.

I'll add I would covert the 3.2, if I was using it or commuting.  :y

At the moment, I need to the boot and spare tyre  :)

Surprises me, most times I've been in M4 LPG services it's not far off 80p  :o
