Very nice.  :y

Being a manual, it's not too bad on fuel?

It's not great, that's for sure ;D Averaging 24mpg on the commute at the moment, which realistically is about what the Omega returned.  My friend with the Coupe manages to hit basically book figure - 33mpg on the motorway, book for mine is 29mpg due to the 200Kg of extra lard it carries (the roof, not me, before anyone says it ;D)

Stuff the Bavarian special, whats that Cobra replica...?

Behind schedule, that's what it is. ::)

 ;)

And the meanie wont let us help him bring it back on schedule ;D

You know I'm almost at the point now where I can get started .. two reliable* cars, garage sorted out, I just need to get the running gear sent off to Wards for a refurb and start bolting it together. Oh, yeah, and get the engine sorted..

For minifreek & jimmy - it's a Dax (as Jimmy correctly identified) with the DeDion & camber compensation.. I have a choice of two engines waiting for a rebuild - both are Ford FEs (per the original cars) with the baby being a 390 (6.5L) and the big one being the 428 (7L).. Neither are a 427 side oiler though as I'm not made of money ;D

I finally got round to actually spraying up my passenger side mirror as swmbo has been moaning for months that it needed doing. While jumping in and out of the passenger seat I kept smacking my head on the roof cause the seat was to high so tried to lower it to no avail but motor was making a noise. So unbolted the seat after scraping my knuckles twice >:(
Turns out it was the threaded bar had gone slightly to far and a tiny twist bingo one working seat again :)

Bit like people moaning that sky is too expensive that. OF COURSE ITS SHITE on fuel. It's a 3.2 v6 auto in a car weighing nearly 2 ton.

....AND the lazy wingebag owner hasn't bothered his arse to convert it to LPG yet. ;D

Fixed... ;)

Does this mean I have a mother Gixer? Rather than a normal Mum like everyone else?

Mother Gixer lives in Japan by the way, along with the Father of the gsxr. Hiroshi lio, I think?

Yeah sort of it helps remove some of the dirt without touching the paint (well that's the idea i think) it's a little bit of fun more than anything i'd say.

Then how come V8s with loads more power, more cubic capacity and couple of extra cylinders. Along with extra weight, do better on fuel.

No, the 3.2s are shit engines, similar power output of the 3.0 yet the 3.0s are far, far better on fuel. Difference to power/mpg is not equal between them.

Cost to fix the Estate not worth it, space is not an issue. The Estate would have been free too  ;)
