Removed the power steering pump from the TD, not the easiest job. :y

Fitted the new power steering pump. An awkward little beggar to replace. Fortunately, as we had diagnosed, the old one was faulty, and this has cured it, as far as I can tell, as its still on stands for other work. I'll try to do a how to shortly, although I may be the only TD owner left on here. :y

Drove the BMW Bracknell->Peterborough, then Peterborough->Welwyn->Alexandra Palace->Bracknell, then Bracknell->Padstow->Bracknell, over the course of a week or so.

Now need to change the front suspension bushes as the toe control is a bit off on one side (much like an Omega)

Polished my headlights yesterday on the Silver Bullet.  I didn't really feel like doing it, but Webby the Bear made me.

Still, done now, came up OK :y

Converting my solid calipers to vented went well... right up to the point the bastid wept under pressure... sheared a bolt trying to nip it up the secure the seal >:(

Will be investing in new calipers as a result...

Still nothing ventured nothing gained, but mystified as to why it wouldn't seal... no dirt anywhere, seals viable too :-\

On the plus side, handbrake works a treat now 8)

Plan b regarding rear calipers... turns out they're made from really expensive unobtainium... bit miffed actually as AGP claimed to have them in stock >:( Waiting to hear back from Jason regarding alternatives...

Might well end up with Monaro rear calipers... '05 on CV8s run 286x18 vented discs  :-\

Put six litres of freshly delivered oil into the black one... sump appears to be oil tight :-X

Acquired a pair of (hopefully) suitable rear calipers and some pads to go with them... will find out on Sunday if it's successful or not and report accordingly  :-\

Had a performance stainless system fitted :) sounds ruddy lovely too, especially on full chat with the 'box in S :y

Also took delivery of the 19" Snowflakes too .....  Not bad for what I paid for them, especially with all 4 tyres being practically brand new too :)

Said goodbye to the slight tramlining caused by only 1.8mm tread remaining, by having new Goodyear F1 assymetrics fitted.

What a difference,  Yippee!
