Not my car, but a colleague's that I promised to service... A rather Renault.... And some muppet had stripped all the undertray securing bolts. :-X

How do I get myself into these situations? ::)

Walked past it,ignored it.Given the weather forecast and the fact that the six nations has kicked off today the chances of my fitting the ecu sender and temp. sender into the coolant bridge are pretty near zero.Car hasn't turned a wheel since November!

The Omega. Water pump seal has failed too. Not sure of the sequence of events, but 2 pump pulley bolts have disappeared, and one has sheared off. Guessing 2 worked loose and fell off, then the final one eventually gave way. Pump shaft feels fine, so thinking there might have been some local coolant boiling after the failure that did for the seal. It got shut down as soon as I felt the PAS go, then coasted into a side road and Green Flag. ::)

Have bicycle, so motor factors on Monday morning. Hope it stops ssipping down. :(

Cheers.  Always had them on the car, and I have owned my MFL 2.5V6 CDX Manual from new  :y. I suspect they have helped protect against the dreaded UV which causes most to develop the usual "Cataracts" to then trigger the various grades of wet and dry being applied with elbow grease and plenty of water.

Pub doesn't do food, and occasionally even beer is too much trouble. :(
