Tried to get the back bumper off the BMW to replace the broken reversing sensor.. well, mostly succeeded. Last time I tried I found that some genius had bodged the nearside rear mud flap on with a giant screw and square nut inside the bumper which, naturally, have now become one lump of rust that needs drilling off so..
Took it off the off side only but still had to take a wheel off to get to the fixings. Flexed the bumper out and replaced the Rear Middle Right sensor (Hinten mittel rechts). Which side would you guess at? Me I thought "from the drivers' perspective" but no, apparently it's as you look at the front of the car so it's the sensor on the
left. The one that was harder to get to due to the aforementioned bloody mud flap..

Put it all back together and got the last screw stuck in one of those plastic nuts half in and half out, grrr. Sorted that.
Put the plate back on and went to move it and congratulate myself on a job well done and ...
bong "Rear number plate light failure". RAAAAAGE

Fixed that. Parked it up outside the garage again, job done. Until the next thing..
