Sadly, work commitments, and the shenanigans with one of bro's shops have prevented any prepping before presenting it.

Spill the beans

What, that I've been busy at work, and that I've spent all my spare time over at bro's who's shop fit "hasn't gone well"

Put the gearbox back in the TD with a new thrust washer, new filter and fresh fluid. Drives nicely on the test run. I'll check the level again in a week or so. Next job is to see if I can swap the gear change shaft from my AR25 into the new Senny AR35. But it can wait. :y

No No No! I'm too old for this sort of work, but I can't resist a challenge, which ends up by me regretting it. :-[ :y

Repainted one of my alloys at work last night. Refitted it today and took another one off to refurb at work tonight.
Also took one of the rear track rods off the car, which I have brought to work to see if a I can free it off.

Clamp in vise and heat it up to red hot, un screw, then dump in bucket of waste oil, re-assemble, with lots of copper-slip.

Clamped it very tight in vice, heated as hot as I could with a heat gun, got a big pair of stilsons on the end, it unscrewed very nicely. This was the outer end. Did the same with the inner end, pushed hard on the stilsons, it rounded the "nut" section in the centre of the rod and chewed up the visible threads while it was at it. Its officially shagged. Need a new pair.  :'(
