Petrol vehicles seem to run on whatever you put in them, but I wouldn't put Asda diesel in the wife's captur, never mind a jaaaaaag.
Why? Comes from the same refinery
Ok, there are some subtle differences in the additives they add but I wouldn't worry too much. In fact I'd probably spend the money saved over a few thankfully on a decent lubricating additive as the lubrication is what has taken the biggest hit over the years.
It's more important to buy from a petrol station that has a high turnover of stock than worry about the brand.
Sage words indeed. I've been delighted on several locations to find a village forecourt in the back end of nowhere in the middle of Wales / the highlands / Ireland that sells super unleaded - only to fill up and find the Westfield pinks worse than on 95 RON. I suspect I would have been better off just buying the 95, as that gets some turnover, at least.
It might all start out the same, but, leave it in the tanks for a few months...
