Stuck the sump back on the Omega engine and fitted one head, numpty factors only sent enough bolts for one head. Bugger they took some doing up, good job I have a 4ft breaker bar and correct bit. 25nm +90 +90 +90 +15 made me grunt!!

Wasn't CarParts8Less by any chance was it?  ???

When I did my Omegas head gaskets many years ago I bought the bolts from them at a great price and the picture clearly showed 16 bolts, but I only got 8.  :

I phoned them up and they insisted the listing was for 8 bolts, until I emailed the listing and then they gave in and sent another 8 bolts.  :y

Delayed me for another week though...  :(
Changed for accuracy. ;)

Stripped the new camshaft, turbo, injector, battery and a few other bits off Pierre, drained 25 litres of devil juice, and sat him out on the road ready for collection.  ::)

You should film its destruction & watch it over & over to give you some satisfaction after all that time & money ! Only ever had one Renault an 1987 11 Turbo many years ago lovely when it was running but far to fragile for my liking swore I'd never buy another Renault.

I hired a "shakin that ass" Megane when the exhaust on my PFL went. What an abomination. Swore the same as you.  :y ;D

All French cars are crap, ask any mechanic. Ordered a cam timing kit for the v6 as my Christmas present, £44, now just need to find £200 for the belt kit ::)

Maybe a mechanical nightmare but I'd still bite your hand off if you offered me a Citroen SM

I have my eye on another one.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115630861215

Glutton for punishment.  ;D
Not really what I want at all, but if I can get it for around the starting price I would have it. If it lasts a couple of years it will do for that money.

Shouldnt have to pay that much. Keep searching the interweb for a bargain. Last one I bought was on ebay for £50.  ;)

Drove my granddaughters clit from Bedford to BSE when she had a crisis, (no, not the Clit) at uni. Must say it was quite a fun drive. Also ran well considering it had very little maintenance.

They do run well, for whatt they are - until they dont.  ;D

Tbh, I reckon I just got a bad one for whatever reason. The 1.5 dci k9k engine is used in all sorts of cars (Renault, Mercedes, Nissan, Dacia) and has been around for years. Doesnt have a bad reputation for reliabilty on the whole.
This one was always one thing after another, so Im glad to see the back of it.
