Most of the entrances to fields round here are blocked with those huge concrete Lego bricks. The caravan club like to arrange days out on their quad bikes and part of the itinerary is going round in circles on a farmer's field.

Have you just inadvertently solved the mystery of the crop circles?  ;D

Had a ride in the RR over to Cowbit just a couple of miles from me, my farmer pal has purchased a few acres over there, some brilliant dog walking areas he's spent a few bob on crushed stone sorting the tracks in & out & security gates like I've never seen before , our boy Deezil the boxer dog is now absolutely knackered after his run across the fields.🐕🐕🐕

A lot of caravan dwellers around your way I'd imagine Mick?  ???

I went to my cousin's in Chelmsford last summer. Went up the M11 and then cut across on the A roads and was amazed that all the fields gateways were blocked with massive boulders.  :o

What a state of affairs eh?  >:(
.

Surprisingly no very few, got to head more Norfolk way, the problem the farmers get here are the hare coursers, funny enough the land he's just bought I was on it 4 or 5 years ago with my previous boxer Buddy I'd driven there in the Subaru Forester, within about twenty minutes two police vehicles arrived and asked if I was a hare courser, I told them to take a look at the dog that will probably answer your question! Someone had seen the Subaru and reported it as they are one of the coursers favourite vehicles.

Ours were blocked in a hurry with old cars and vans when HS2 construction started, but now mostly they have gone in favour of boulders, blocks or massive logs.

The green areas in town such as parks, or green areas alongside roads in new estates have had to also have anti-gypo defences installed at great cost to residents, again from HS2 and what that attracts.

new dog bone (rear engine mount) on the C1.
Should have been a 15 minute job, but due to the rear bolt being unbelievably tight it took nearer an hour.
Heat and a 3 foot breaker bar had to be used.
Job done now though, so all good.

Drove it to Overseal and back to collect a few bits and pieces for the next project on TPC.

Rear seats weren't at the top of the list, but when they're the correct leather and colour it was difficult to resist... Trim being the hardest stuff to match/obtain.

Im doing about 10% of what I did ten years ago.  ;)
I do need to take some form of physical exercise and long walks arent really an option until I get my knee replacement, hopefully next year.
So a moderate amount of spannering is probably good for me.
Wouldnt want to be pulling Omegas apart for breaking these days though. Taking an AR35 out by yourself is a job for a younger man, :)

MoT pass on The Proper Car.

Two advisories, one for front pads and one rear tyre getting low.

Handbrake just scraped through, but a brake service is on the list so will cross that bridge when I get to it.

As a way of an apology for the abuse it got last month - tracks I wouldn't take a crossover up, let along a low saloon, and of course it's drowning - I put on some illuminated tread plates at the front (struggling to find any SWB ones for the rear)

Did you not see TBE, aka "The Chav"?

So the illuminated plates along with the chavvy ghost logo puddle lights fit right in, lol
