Put a new air filter in the Mondeo. The old one was minging so the old girl can breath a bit easier now.  :)

Also while I was in there, I squirted some WD40 into the end of the gear lever linkage cable at the gearbox and think it's not as stiff as it was.  :y

Added oil to my Y26SE, it is not leaking anymore, I hope, as garage floor is now dry but stem seals are original. It is really smoking blue in the morning. I undertsood that those seals could be changed without removing heads. Air pressure from plug hole or what?

Plan for today was to fit new handbrake cables, a new rear caliper and pads to sons 05 Civic.
After four hours I just about got the cables fitted.
Bastid of a job made much worse by all the mud crustiness and general corrosion on everything on the underside.
Bits of rust flaking off and falling in my eyes, corroded nuts ,and one captive nut making its escape........
Had a prod of one really bad looking part of a sill and ended up with a fist sized hole that I will have to weld up sometime in the near future.
Caliper and pads are now tomorrows job.
Hope swmbo doesnt mind too much as its her Birthday.

After that, need to pressure test the heater Matrix on the Boxster. Removed it last week and it look fine with no signs of leakage, despite having recently pressure tested the whole cooling system..
Bypassed it yesterday and drove the car to work tonight. No signs of the coolant smell, which is making me think matrix again.
Will remove it again and pressure test it, probably in a bucket of water and hopefully find a small leak.

After that its on to the Omega which has a coolant leak from the n/sf somewhere around the side of the radiator area, so need to pin down exactly where from and fix it.
If I can shift the Boxer soon I want to spend some time on the Omega bringing it back up to scratch as its ben pretty neglected recently, and they dont like that.

That’ll be Stavanger Norway then.  :y  We’ve done that cruise a couple of times, the scenery is lovely.  :y  You could get the ships internet package, or pay on just the days you want it but its bloody expensive.
Enjoy your time away.  :y

For.the umpteenth time I am very grateful to Addy of this parish. Repaired a buggered thread on the track Saxo* caliper so it's now a bit closer to completion.

*Thanks, Addy. Thaddy.
