I dont mind trying to find the problem, but if its head gasket failure I wont be doing a top end rebuild.
If it is that, it will be a matter of deciding if its worth paying a garage to do it, or sell as spares / repairs and then buy another car.  ;)

Fitted a new battery to the RRS , followed the installation advice to the letter thankfully no warning lights or malfunctions showing 👍

MOT today Omega 2001. All ok. When lifted up engineer realized that rear brake brake tube in right side had started to leak perhaps during brake test in dynamometer. Brakes were ok. So not accepted. Have to change both of those long tubes from ABS to rear. Good

Put some more electricity in it yesterday, despite using it a few times in the week....   ....to do about 800 yards to the shops/chippy ;D

Changed the wiper motor on SWMBO's Citroen C3.
A few months back the high speed packed in on it, no big deal as she doesn't go far enough or fast enough to need it, but on the suggestion of a neighbour who works at Peugeot bought a used clock spring assembly to relace the switch (in their infinite wisdom all the column switches are part & parcel of the clock spring assembly  ???) Needless to say, it didn't fix it.
Out of interest I phoned Citroen for the price of a new motor, assuming it comes as an assembly with the linkages .... how much could it be?  ::)
Over £400!  :o :o :o
The new motor was £35 & took 1/2 hr to fit  :y :y :y (ignoring the fact that the motor arrived a week or two back but this is the 1st time it's stopped raining! )
