the tray around the opening should have drains - check these aren't blocked.

Check seal around glass mine leaked when about 6 months old Dealer changed glass panel under warenty after first changing tray which only ended up giving me an annoying rattle plus original leak.
After cosy chat in car with tester and use of hosepipe making sure he was sitting under leak he agreed it was actual glass panel leaking.
Possible use of windscreen seal might be worth a try to start off as its fairly cheap and would easily eliminate glass.

Top tip coming up - mine was doing the same when I first purchased it and was told by a neighbour that the seal on most sometimes go hard and start to leak. He suggested a liberal dose of washing up liquid in hot water on a dishwashing brush and scrub the seal of all algea and basically - refluff it up.  Worked a treat first time - I do this every Autumn as I struggle sometimes to be able to open the bloody thing every spring . Don't anymore :D :y
