Parking sensors... Opinions??
« on: 26 September 2007, 12:05:05 »

Gona be looking at fitting some to the Elite, but I want to put the actual display/readout bit where the satnav is usually fitted onthe 3ltrs, next to the stereo...  So ideally need a unit which is 3" x 2" in size!

Any suggestions??  Really is a gray-area for me :(

for reverse basically two models exist (that also I think you will like) .. one with camera (really nice)

another with distance meter (either inch or cm ) some can  be precision adjusted

the models that only give sound signal is not usefull (I tried in friends car dont like it)..

ps : also some of them can be painted and still work..

Did well stopping my bumper getting damaged tho  :D

I have a towbar too  :y I also have sensors fitted I personally prefer just the audio beeping type with this you do not have to watch a display just listen too the beeps  :y oh and you do not need to run cables etc from back to front of the car either  :y

there are other options, a bluetooth mirror with built in reverse sensors or ones ive recently seen at halford that locate to the side of the rear numberplate! may be worth having a look.

i prefer audio only, and struggled to find on ebay.

What good is a screen, when you are still supposed to look behind (its only a driver aid, not a replacement for looking).
