Thanks for all your help on this one folks ;), looks like I'll need to try and get a valve, and attempt the change myself........woo hoo ::)............if I can get one tomorrow then will be a job for Boxing Day or the weekend.

Unless Tunnie's in London soon, he's got skinny arms and hands ;D ;D

Its not a difficult job Mike, our Tony did mine. It's awkward to access and those bloody spring hose clips make it more of a pain. Just remember to get the hoses on the right way or your heater won't work as Bobo & Timbuk will tell you.

Well he's off school for the hols but his bikes broken so transport could be a problem. ;D

Well he's off school for the hols but his bikes broken so transport could be a problem. ;D

Thats a shame, would've picked him up but as the cars off the road for now :(

No pictures but assume this would be the HBV replacement part, quite cheap aswell at under £20 bucks;

Mike, once you have the scuttle panel off you are plain sailing mate... I used a pair of mole grips to grip and hold the clips while you wriggle them up the hose away from the HBV. Then a screw driver I also used to break the seal the hose had on the HBV.
Think I paid around £25 for mine from Vauxhall..

Cheers Daz; I have a pair of clip pliers, but they're no good due to the position of the clips, so will be long nose pliers and now a pair of mole grips (Pink) ;D
