DASHBOARD POWER FAILURE
« on: 17 April 2008, 12:56:35 »

I am a desperate damsel in distress, so can someone help me please?

I removed the dashboard on my Omega to replace a light bulb.  Refitted it but now none of the clocks work, the central consul is dead, and only the indicators on the dashboard are working along with the temp. fuel, & handbrake warning lights flashing!  I have refitted the dashboard four times, checking the terminals, but still no joy!

What have I done wrong please?

A tearful Lizzie Zoom  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Ive done similar myself today,

Dash out to change 3 illumination bulbs (only 1 gone)

Put it back together, and no lights!

Took it apart, reseated bulbs, put it back together, all happy.

You have pushed the dash far enough back home havent you?

1) makes sure the instrument panel is fully home

2) Check the fuses (cant remember which but F14 or 15 rings a bell)

Just changed the fuse an hour ago.  As Mark said F15 will make the dash lights go out, so check it hasn't blown.  I suspect the clocks aren't fully home.   :y

Thanks all!

I have discovered a fuse that covers all the dash and consul had blown!  All ok now.  A very relieved Lizzie Zoom :D :D :D :D :y :y
