Need to replace my front washer bottle,will 1 from a 96 elite fit a 99 elite, i think they would be the same but thought i would ask first :-?

Mine's leaking like a beehatch, is it an easy job to take it out and resit the pump on the seals? Anyone done it, how long would you recon it should take, maybe a job for boxing day in my parents garage

just take the grill of and you can see pumps !!  
so three screws and your in mabye half am hour to take pumps out and clean the filter on the bottom and refit !

but if you want to take the bottle out completely it's a bumper off job as it's screwed to the inside metal reinforcing bar :-/

This is the recommended approach from Haynes but it is not required. I've removed the bottle on a '99 mini-facelift and an '03 facelift without removing the bumper. From memory, It is just a case of undoing the 3 screws and manipulating the bottle out

no, enough room from behind the bumper to get at them - you have to feel for them, rather than see them

Or if you just need to get the pumps out then there is no need to take the bumper off. If the washer bottle is leaking from the pumps it may be useful to remove the bumper to empty the bottle totally then remove both of the pumps clean them up then use some hylomar sealant to stop the leak. I had the same problem with mine and done this...... Now no leaking washer bottle.

Yes it is. You should be able to get from any factor or halfrauds.

At least buying some sealant is less expensive than buying a new washer bottle but when you do come to put the pump seals back in make sure they are clean and dry otherwise it won't seal.
