CID problem with my Omega

I'm hoping someone can help me resolve a problem with my display. I bought the car at the weekend and had the common problem with the CID flickering etc, I managed to purchase an LCD screen (Sharp LQAW136t) from ebay but when I installed it the display was inverted (like a mirror image) I'm wondering if it can be fixed/programmed to correct it, don't really want to pay the £500 as quoted by my local VX garage.

seems to either be a fault with the screen, or voltage on pins 5 & 6 causes the invertion

Thanks Jimbob for your fast responce, all I did was swap the LCD screen I have since found out that the replacement LCD screen was originally fitted to a Mercedes COMAND 2.0 would this be the problem?
Can the voltage be adjusted?

Press and hold MAIN for 8s, then release, then press BC, and post up the numbers.  Wonder if config is wrong, but fail to see how that can happen just by changing LCD :-/

Is there a configuration setting that can be changed to correct the display, have removed display to check connections, all looks fine.

Seem to recall Astra one is upside down.  BUT if all you have done is changed the LCD, and not the 2 boards, it won't be config...

Will get the continuity meter out hopefully just a bad connection if not must be faulty main board or needs some sort of configuring the latter would be ok also.
My brains fried with this one LOL.  :'(

Pin 5 on the LCD is on the one to check (assuming its mirrored and not inverted, if the later then its pin 6). Both pins shoudl be low (unless the CID is inverting the image as standard which I cant comment on)

0V....i.e pulled to a low voltage.

So check for shorts in the connector etc and on the ribbon to the adjacent pin

I had flickering on mine 2 years ago. Got a replacement and went to TB - if I remember correctly there was an inverted image on that occasion and i sent the unit back to the German ebay supplier - I will try and find the emails but they had definitely done something wrong on the refurb - it came back within a couple of days and was fine.

Therefore the problem maybe one of the 2 on board pcbs and not a sharp screen problem.
