V6 Vs 4Cyl Air Conditioning System
« on: 23 July 2009, 16:20:21 »

Two people i know have omegas of around the same age, one has a 2.2 and the other has a 3.0 elite, the elite has significantly better air conditioning even though the 2.2 had just had a re-gas and the sysyem is fine!

are there different components used eg, compressor / rad?

could someone explain this!

thanks

Think they differ with age and use....

we have 2 x 3.0's

one is significantly cooler than the other.

system is basically the same, my 2.2 has better aircon than our 3.0 Elite Estate, but that has had a new condensor and dryer.

As Jimbob said, its all based on age and servicing.

Wouldn't have thought it would have made any difference.

As long as the air con system is serviced/re-gased every couple of years to keep things running as they should the cooling temp should be fine.

Only way to check properly is touse a temp gauage at the cooling vents.
