well it looks like ill be doing my cambelt change tomorrow pm. thats if the god old british weather is good to me!

the locking tool cost me £8 with postage and they are sending it first class recorded so hopefully it will be here tomorrow. and i pick up the cambelt kit tomorrow am too.

got to get that bottom pully off.  >:( my only worry is getting the tension right but ill take it slow and not rush and hopefully ill get it sorted....

can be done without any locking tool HAYNES manual procedure  :y.been done on many vectras with the same engine.caution! id check the condition of the waterpump while your there because it can fail and snap the belt in the future ,for about £30 for a new pump i would change it as a matter of course,it has happened to me .

I'd recommend doing the water pump too. Seeing as you've got the belt off it's worth doing for peace of mind. When I do the belts on the Omega and the Astra they'll both get new pumps.

well i can confirm that the tensioner was t*ts.

new belt kit fitted. all is good:)

thats my first ever go it alone belt!!!! ;D ;D
