New cruise stalk on 2.5 td ?
« on: 10 September 2009, 18:37:48 »

Hi all, fitted a cruise stalk on my tractor today but doesn't work  :( ! Have I got to install a fuse or relay somewhere? Or is it something else?
Thanks.

There's a plug on it with 4 wires that goes into a lead on the column with 2 wires.

sounds like yuo have one based on switches....think td uses resistance, and the 2 are very different.

TD needs the 2 wire one ending on 012, not the 4 wire one ending in 011.

No easy way to bodge wrong one one

All the TDs do if you fit the right stalk ;)

Also, not mentioned in manual, the R button does NOT reduce speed on the TD, unlike all the others

I paid around £36 +vat......from the dealer, and yes it's defo two wire job a straight swop and it worked.
They do come up secondhand on ebay sometimes but it's best to get new as s/h are most likely worn anyway, and they want too much for them.

on petrol its resume, if no cruise active, if it is, then its 1mph reduction or maybe 2 :-/
