what is paperclip code 74 on a diesel, Ive only changed the alternator :( had to also trace a faulty earth wire but thats all sorted now. What else could I have done :-/

Is anything wrong with the car.
Maybe if you write down simptoms someone will be able to be more helpfull

just spoke to m8 hu h as 1 in his garage at mo with same problem, alternator over charging is the light. refubished alternators need time to settel.

Nothing is wrong but  it wasnt there before I changed the alternator :-? I know when I took manifold off the gaskets were torn, Ive ordered 6 more but hard to get all 6 from one place :o :o so hope to have it all off again tomorrow :D :D :D :D

the battery light was coming on when I was driving and on meter test was not charging, so got one from TB, delivered by DLK and fitted by me ;) battery light now goes off when driving. Will leave it for a while and test again :y

no not listning the fault code is there is to many volts coming in to the ecu, its charging to good just needs a few good runs to settel it down again then the fault code will be gone.
