Do these head units ever go up for sale or are they hard to come by?

I quite like the factory satnav and colour screen albeit that its let down by lack of postcode input.  Its quick to get a fix and holds that fix even when in very long tunnels as it also uses vehicle movement from incar sensors (so I'm told).

Also like the zoom function and the pop up intersection zoom when negotiating complex and busy roundabouts.  When approaching a junction, you get accurate info as to when to turn as well, rather than a few hundred yards out which you can get with aftermarket.

Sounds like yours is not working properly though....

Thanks you where right :y I've got it working properly now and I'm very pleased with it :)

Its a decent, accurate system, far more accurate, and less prone (virtually immune) to the positional errors that plague **ALL** portable units.

Its a 10yr old system, so does lack the nice things such as postcode entry and speed cameras, but I'll happily sacrifice better core functionality to that sort of stuff anyway.

You only get a map display with a CID, GIDs give a pictorial display (similar to TomTom's "Safety Screen"). I quite prefer this if I'm honest.
