Auto box sump plug

I have just tried to do a autobox oil change and found the filler plug rounded off,are they easier to get off with the sump dropped,maybe i will have to drill it out ? >:(

should be the same as an oil sump plug.

I swapped mine for the later torx with rubber washer style after the boss came detatched from the box to reduce stress

It had a 13mm head on it.

They can be incredibly tight, I dropped my sump first and even then it was a pain!! :(

I am looking at the Cadillac Catera with many interchange-able part (if not all!) and it is as follows,

96041338      PLUG,A/TRNS FLUID PAN DRN(*KIT1)

From the EPC  ..

PLUG, DRAIN AND OIL FILLER, SIDE, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION    96041338

Exactly the same as the Catera it seems . :)
You'll also need :

SEAL, RING, 14.2 X 19.9, DRAIN PLUG, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION   11023582

Thanks guys,i at least had some luck today in that i actually managed to change the oil filter and oil as previousley some numpty overtightened the canister and the whole lot spun around,had to use a chain wrench in the end ( metal band removal tool and pliers would not budge it ). :y
