It is difficult to tell them (2.0 and 2.2) apart, and the resolution isn't high enough to zoom in enough

Did not realise that, pics were 12mill pixels, if it has had an engine swop then suppose I could have problems as it seesms no one told DVLA, just what I need. Ho hum what fun, and I thought owning a cossie scorpio was fun. ;D

Doesn't the 2.0 use a DIS pack & HT leads while a 2.2 use a coil pack directly onto the plugs? :-/ :-/ :-/

Yes the internals were a black soggy mess so new internals

I thought that as it is a facelift it would not need anything else, it does not have a throttle cable as illustrated in the how to section so assumed that all was well, obviously not  :( what else is needed)
Guess key will be a Newent job then I hope

Can be repaired.

Remove switches

Clean with meths

Fit new switches

Martin appreciate that but the board was so badly dmaged by whatever had melted, new internals were by far easier.
It had made parts very fragile so gave up :)

Ok carrying on from last night I confirm it is the engine that should be there, it has HT leads at the rear and although time is short I think I have found the linkage, as said it is well hidden.

Now we have confirmed that and I know what parts to obtain is the job still very much as per the insructios as posted except modify for 2L?

Sorry to have caued so many posts but I was totally convinced it was fully servo served, but always prepared to be proved wrong if it helps, thanks for you patience and do hope to see some of you at Newent, now if anyone going happend to have above spares ;D
