Don't be alarmed when you unplug it, this will usually activate it, but it will stop after a while  ;D

You could also try replacing the batteries inside it, then plug it back in. :y

Is this a main dealer part only as I think mine is starting to go. Im getting this beep every now and then so I suspect that this is the cause. Im right in thinking once its disconnected the alarm system wont work if the car battery is disconnected

Don't worry about it, there's tons of info here to wade through. The complete power sounder is available from the dealers - £60ish IIRC - but changing the batteries requires a hacksaw to cut it open. I'm sure there's a how2do somewhere.  ;) ;) ;)

Thanks Andy. This has only started since I disconnected the battery a few wks back so It looks like im gonna be 60 quid shorter this month  :(

Dont know if Vauxhall fit these to all there cars ( daughter has a corsa and her  alarm never seems to go off  even if she leaves the window open.... so im thinking has this been removed  ???)
