Driver Door locks problem

Hi Guys,

I have driver door lock problem to my F/L Omega 2.2 CD. it doesn't unlock with the remote but rest of the door unlocks with the remote and driver door locks need to be unlocked manually with KEY. and same case when locking, had to lock the driver door first manually which locks the rest. ???

I thinks its not a motor problem..is it driver door selenoids problem? :(

It will be the solenoid in the drivers door that operates the lock. It's a common failure.

I've got a replacement one here that you can have for £12 including P&P mate.  Send me a PM if you want it.

The door lock mechanisms use a motor, not a solenoid.  :y :y

Nick suggested that the problem wasn't a motor problem but a solenoid problem ......... no solenoids in a locking motor though  ;) ;)

I would go down the repair route ( http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90642.0 ) if you are handy with a soldering iron as the replacement switch is only a couple of quid and it's 99% certain that's what the problem will be.

It's always worthwhile giving the lock mechanism a good clean up and lube while you're there though. :y

I was referring to the part shown in Kevin's link. I've always called this things solenoids, but if they are actually motors then I stand corrected.

In any case, if you decide you would rather replace than repair, I have one here.  :y
