Hi all
Probably daft question i need to change a bulb in overhead  interior light but not sure how it comes out
what size is it does it push and turn or is it capless
dealer says it a festoon bulb but it def is a normal bulb but a smallish head

This is inside mine if that's of any use, but mine's the preface lift including the mic for the phone.



Pretty sure they are all glass wedge base push-in bulbs in the black 1/2 turn holders

but i still cant weigh up how to remove the bulb . Has all that printed circuit got to come out if so how
i am suprised no one has changed one

The bulb holders are 1/4 turn bayonnet fitting, just like all instrument lamps in the dashboard (but bigger)

no just turn the bulb holder

i've got to be thick. when i take off the cover all i xan see is the bulbs in the unit are you saying i turn the bulb

turn the bulb about 45 degree's ish, it will then drop out

ummm have you somehow prised the plastic lens off instead of taking the whole light fitting out ?

isnt there a black plastic cover over the holders that has been removed prior to the picture being taken?

Don't turn the bulb but the black plastic case that holds the bulbs in place, as per the picture.

I took the photo's a number of years ago ................. the other photo's were to do with a missing phone mic. .......... I've slept since so can't remember specifics. It won't be difficult though.

Thats exactly what i have done ive prised off the plastic clear lens cover (as per the hand book) which as exposed the 4 bulbs. But as my first post said , i cant see how the bulbs will come out. If the whole light unit as to come out what im asking is how does it come out to expose the bulbs as in the photo.
Surely GM wouldnt have made it this awkward to change a bulb looks like i'm going to have to live with one of the bulbs blown.

the whole light fitting is just clipped in , carefully get a screwdriver and prise the whole lot out

  you had better believe it buddy, try changing headlamp bulbs in a vec-c  also when you start working on your car you will see how awkward vauxhall can be

Ain't that the truth. Air filter housing out for the drivers side F/L Indicator lamps are potentially a bumper off job if you've got fat fingers...
