We used to have an Alsatian who loved to sit in the middle of the back seat watching where she was going. The best bit was the way she used to lean into the bends like a seasoned bike rider.
;D
+1 they do like to see where they're going :y

Yep and they do love sticking their heads out the window well the tall dogs at least  ;D

Some cars arm various airbags if the seat belt is plugged in :y
A very good reason not to put the dog in the front seat with a passenger :y

thats better to be honest, how about just his/her dogs basket in the middle in the back?

As long as that lead is fairly short.

or one of these

And to answer a question with a question. If being transported on a plane or train where would it be.
Therefore what is wrong with the boot secured in one of these. It's a dog not a child, would not be "in" any of my cars.
By the way I do like dogs.

(get's coat and makes quick exit)
