Firstly a massive thanks to Chopsdad for organising it again. It really was an enjoyable weekend, very worthwhile.
The dozy daughter who was left in charge had been getting on my wick since my arrival on Tuesday.
On arrival, I said we were supposed to have the overspill field so we could be all together. She said no, as she wanted us all together, so would squeeze in the main camping field (?!). I couldn't get it in to her head. I suggested throwing some leccy cables over from caravan field into overspill field, but she said no as she had booked some vans in down that end of van field. Then we agreed that those needing leccy would be in main field, and non leccy in overspill field, which then seemed like best compromise. Next day, she said as they were so busy, they would put non leccy members in main field. Upon trying to explain the (lack of) sense in that, she said she had the room. Then she said she'd keep non OOFers away from us, then prompted put a load in right next to us.
The stupid woman changed her story every single day (and I was there 6 days), and every time I told her that was not what we had previously agreed, she just started moaning. The women who run the site obviously have no organisational skills, are too greedy, and the pair of them are either bad liars, or a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic.
As with last year, any plan went out of the window in an attempt to squeeze in any tent to make a few more quid. Obviously the facilities are not good enough for this. The main block has 3 crappers, 3 showers and 3 sinks (presumably ladies have 3 of each as well?), which simply isn't enough for the number of people they are catering for (and we were lucky that a group of about 20-30 people staying were away for that weekend, else it would have been much worse). Quite clearly, the electrics couldn't cope either.
One day, the daughter was moaning that people were buying bigger tents now. That shows the greed of the family that run it.
