Migv6 le Frog Fan

Actress Hayden Panettiere. Only 36.  :(
Its weird being the same age as old people !

His parents and close friends must have known that most of his claims were false. Considering his mental health problems, why didn't they try to curb his behaviour instead of letting it become so problematic?

Walter Mitty syndrome should be added to the ever lengthening list of mental health disorders.

Shocking !
I guess the life he had built on a pack og lies was finished and he couldnt face trying to build any kind of future from where he had ended up.
Cause of death was smoke inhalation, due to his pants being on fire.

Incorrect....

Police investigating Jason Ardays death, have confirmed they believe it's murder.
However, they have allowed the media to report it as suicide just so he can take credit for someone else's work one last time.

As a black man in his late 60's I have one thing to say "walk a mile in my shoes" think before you criticise people.

What do you mean by that, Delroy? I'd better not criticise this person because they are black? Even the though it would be ok to criticise them if they were white. I don't think so. Racism is nasty and evil, but it can't be levelled at people who treat everyone equally. You can criticise me for making a joke about a dead person because it's in bad taste, but not because you think I'm basing it on the colour of their skin.

Field Marshal Dr. Opti

He is/was a Walter Mitty character who was helped along the way by simpering white liberals who are so into 'diversity and inclusion' they decided it would be racist to look into the lack of qualifications of this man.

He could, and should, have been politely rejected before things went too far and he came under scrutiny.

It was more than that, Opti, he was paraded as the youngest black professor ever to have been appointed at Cambridge. It was more of a feather in their cap than anything to do with his achievements.
They set him up for a fall, and then cried racism when it inevitably happened.

For all of his shortcomings, I don't believe Jason Arday was responsible for this particular episode. Cambridge University knew exactly what they were doing, and failed badly in their duty of care.

Unrelated but related. I was reading yesterday how Human Resources (HR) now run companies with respect to their outward facing public perception. HR used to hire and fire, and make sure people got paid. They now hold meetings with bosses and run courses for employees, educating them in such things as transphobia, racism, sexism, etc, etc. They are not interested in productivity or the bottom line. You know, the stuff that keeps companies working.
Their ranks have risen by thousands since the pandemic, 80% of them are female graduates and they perpetuate their own power because they, of course, are the people who hire their own employees.

There was a bright young chap in the article I read who sacked his whole HR department, and most of the company's problems disappeared with them.

The very same breed who run HR are running universities, government departments, etc. We need to challenge them, but I fear it may be too late.

Just been reading that the National Television Awards have selected an all female shortlist for the drama award. Are all our male actors suddenly shit this year. Box ticking at it's finest.
Though just trawling through the lists of all the categories, its mostly all rubbish mainstream t/v anyway. Glad i watch YouTube or Netflix.
