Apparently these Russians used the lift to get up to the roof of an office block, somewhere in Ukraine.

The Ukrainians switched off the electricity trapping them in the lift.  ;D

I don't know what happened next, but the CCTV picture is dated 03/03/22, Thursday.  Maybe they are still there?  :D  8)

Certainly hope so, dumb fu**s, basics always use the stairs.

Anyone else thinking that this war will go on for years.? For sure the Russians cannot lose. They will control towns and cities and ultimately Kyiv. However if the bulk of the population do not want to be  ruled by Moscow, then guerrilla war will be the order of the day for years maybe decades.

Only way I can see out of that scenario is if some one (probably Russian generals) decide Vladolf,s time is up.

Yes I think it will become Europe's Afghanistan or Syria.  :(

I think the Russian's will lose...eventually...... as they cannot win. Britain, America and the rest of the West are already waging a proxy war against Russia and will step up their efforts to ensure that Putin fails.

I agree, Putin cannot and must not see an advantage from this, as a matter of fact it is far more likely that he will be worse off now what with all the neighbouring countries shitting their selves and arming up as much as they can and the inevitable bulking up NATO will be deploying in said countries. This guy Putin is a fu(k:ng idiot.

"For sure the Russians cannot lose."  ergo you say that they will win .
Win what ?
Defeat the second biggest country in Europe with a population of 41 million people who vehemently do not wish to be Russian by using what ..circa 200 K troops that need to be R&R'd . Install a Police service akin to the one in Russia ...how many personel, and cost  would that require .... for ever ?
And all the time each and every Ukrainian man and woman who can hold breath and an automatic assault weapon or Javalin is stood around every corner full of venom and hatred for what they have had stolen from them .
Never .
And as for Russia .
Their Military strategy and weaponary  has been shown to be less than second rate and a significant % their soldiers lacking the will to fight on foreign soil.
The populace has become used to and familiar with western goods and a lifestyle to match . Some may yearn for the old USSR but I'd wager that a majority would prefer our lifestyle .
Human nature will kick in and alert their sixth sense that something is not quite right when they are shunned by the West and told that they face 15 years in prison if they do not echo the sentiments of the Presidents office .
And as for Putin , what will he have won when he is shunned by nearly all the civilised countries of the world , prevented from travelling freely and most likely being accused of war crimes and having a warrant issued for his arrest .
He will also see that his actions have actually galvanised the West into recognising Russia for what it actually is under his control , a unwelcome guest at the dinner table .
The cabal that surround him will watch their lifestyle collapse like a house of cards , be trapped in their motherland and having to drive or take the train to travel as all aircraft will be grounded due to non availability of parts and info.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg .

Yeah , that's a win .  ;D

I suspect, as its not quite going to plan, Vlad will eventually try to negotiate a ceasefire on the condition he officially gets Crimea and maybe the Eastern breakaway regions.

Obviously he'll start out with stupid demands about demilitarisation and that what remains can never join the West (NATO/EU etc), but they won't fly.  If it drags on enough for the Ukrainian morale to flounder, then giving up areas that they had effectively already lost might be palatable to the Ukrainian public.

As others had said, its all backfired on Russia a bit, as Finland's public are now, after decades of wanting to be neutral, in favour of joining NATO.  The Baltic states can also see their vulnerability.  So Mother Russia is going to soon have NATO along every bit of it's western border.

I don't think there will be any sort of compromise.

It seems to me that the aim to is to grind Russia into the ground and inflict a comprehensive defeat on them which will include eviction from the Donbass and Crimea.

In less than two weeks Putin has probably taken Russia back to the 1980's economically, and a proposed oil embargo would probably take them back to the 1960's.

There was an article on the internet that Putin has terminal bowel cancer , yippee hope the bastard dies in excruciating pain. 😊😊

China and possibly India will buy his oil. He is still going to suffer though. In time the Russian public will become aware of the reality, as opposed to the version he feeds them and will turn against him.
It really needs generals and / or oligarchs to do it asap though.

I suspect it's only a matter of time before a glorious state funeral is announced for President Putin who died of a brain haemorrhage. The traditional Russian 7.62mm one, just behind his ear.

Well the Russians are losing their generals with Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky and now Maj Gen Vitaly Gerasimov killed.

It is a poor show when high ranking army officers are killed in a campaign like this one.  I wonder what effect this, and the claimed loss of 10,000 Russian military to date will have on morale and the effectiveness of their army.

Well done Ukraine armed forces and keep up the great work. :y :y :y

If NATO were to get involved at some stage, you have to wonder how long the so called feared Russian military would last against truly professional armed forces until they turn on Putin ;)

It has just been announced that Poland will hand over it’s Mig jets to the USA for handing on to Ukraine.

Now this could start a trend for NATO and give Putin heart failure.  I bloody hope so! :D :D ;)
