Saw a sign warning of a road closure in the town. The road looks like it’s been bombed, it’s full of craters and pot holes but the road closure is for …………wait for it ………. line painting.  ;D
What the hell is wrong with these people.   :o

It means they can spend twice as much of their budget deficit rebuilding it and then redoing the lines. They need to get a wriggle on though as they've only got 10 working days until April...

The "main" road out of our village had a huge pothole in the middle of it for months.
It was repaired about 3 weeks ago and most of what was put in there has already come back out.
Now, the road has just been closed for five weeks (at least) to dig it up to fit new gas mains.
I dread to think what state it will be in,  in a few months time.
The state of the roads is a national disgrace. >:(

Fitted the correctly shortened Omega shafts to the Austin and they are bob on. Cant fit the upper rear suspension arms as drive shaft in the way gggggrrrrrrrrrrrr

Took the Omega to work yesterday and pressure washed under the arches, floor etc. to get rid of mud and winter salt.
On the way home from work last night the vehicle in front of me was.........................a fickin gritter lorry.   >:(
No need for it to be out spreading grit but its the end of the financial year in a couple of weeks.  ::)

Just wash it again tonight. Think to yourself "I'm getting paid to wash my car", so it's not really that important.
No stress, that's the way to do it  :)

Im on days this weekend, so brought the C1 to work this morning. Might fit a new rear engine mount today, if I can be arsed.  :)

In 2025, not too bad.  Probably around £300 on tyres that we'd had our money's worth, and probably around £50 on puncture repairs.  No wheel damage yet in 2025, touch wood.

2023 and 2024 was harsh, probably over those 2 years, around £2+k on tyres and tyre repairs, probably approaching £1k on wheel repairs - cracks and egged wheels are around £100 each time round here.  I have all the details on my phone, but the app is a bugger to export to CSV, and I really don't want to look if I'm honest!

And for clarity, aside from one puncture on hers, she always gets down to the legal limit.  It's my car that's the problem.  I blame it on stupid big wheels not compatible with modern roads, plus all the shit HS2 leave around everywhere on the roads.
