The HS2 mongs, at it again.
Closed an A road without any signage to warn. No turning space, so HGVs, buses and trucks all being pushed onto single track roads. It's carnage out there.
Morons.
Must be the same dickhead that closed the M25 between J10 and 9 whilst the A3 was closed southbound towards Guildford. The official A3 diversion goes through Woking, but they're digging up the A320 from the M25 link halfway to Woking
The M25/A3 mob are mere amateurs when it comes to causing massive disruption on a near weekly basis. The HS2 mob actively go out of their way to piss everybody off.
Near me, on the A43 just outside Brakkers, they have been building the "new" road bridge to go over the railway for about 3 years now, with a permanent speed limit and width diversions, and still have a year to go, assuming they are on time (and when has any UK rail project ever been on time, much like the trains?). Additionally, on the A421 - the main road east to MK, Bedford and Felixstowe - they built an expensive temporary bridge over the road so as to not having to have traffic lights for their plant to cross, yet seem to have to close that road every other day (and the diversion signs for that take (when they actually put them out) takes you to a closed road).
At least the M25/A3 junction, when complete, offers hope of improvement. Not that just putting a larger roundabout will really help long term - that junction needs some free flowing sliproads, so its a wasted opportunity

- where as a 3rd train line between the rough end of Birmingham city centre and Wormwood Scrubs* doesn't really provide anything to anybody.
*The bit from Wormwood Scrubs to Euston still hasn't been planned or properly funded, and is estimated to be another >£20bn (around £1000 for each UK person in employment).
