Was put on Simvastatin at first and was olk It was then deemed unsafe so was changed over to Atorvastatin and they really screwed me up. Now managing to keep the cholesterol in check, esp the "bad" LDL stuff, with a healthy diet. Managing to walk around 6 miles when i go for a walk, which is about 3 or 4 times a week.
I don't know what the measurement is for cholesterol these days. Used to be under 7, then 5. Mines 3.5, and I eat whatever I like  ;D
I walk twice a day every day with the dog. I also have trouble sitting still, so I'm up and down the stairs all day. But, of course, I'm only a slip of a lad compared to you  :)

Yep, Im sure its lack of exercise thats my problem.
Cant walk far, so hope to have right knee replaced next year to help with that.*
Generally unfit and low on energy now. Mowed the lawn yesterday and knackered after wards.
Washed the Omega just now and feel like I could do with a nap.  ::) ;D

* Was told by a Doctor in Feb. when I had the Aneurysm done that I might not be able to have the knee replaced as Surgeons dont like doing serious surgery on people who have Aneurysms.  :-\
Might just give it a year or two and then take myself down the glue factory.  ;D

F*ucking hell.....the amount of ailments and medication people seem to have on this forum have turned OOF into Gods waiting room.

I fully except to log on one day and find half the forum members haven't managed to make it through the night. >:D

Perhaps I should make a few bets on who meets their maker first. ;)

The HS2 mongs, at it again.

Closed an A road without any signage to warn.  No turning space, so HGVs, buses and trucks all being pushed onto single track roads.   It's carnage out there.

Must be the same dickhead that closed the M25 between J10 and 9 whilst the A3 was closed southbound towards Guildford. The official A3 diversion goes through Woking, but they're digging up the A320 from the M25 link halfway to Woking  :-X

The M25/A3 mob are mere amateurs when it comes to causing massive disruption on a near weekly basis.  The HS2 mob actively go out of their way to piss everybody off.

Near me, on the A43 just outside Brakkers, they have been building the "new" road bridge to go over the railway for about 3 years now, with a permanent speed limit and width diversions, and still have a year to go, assuming they are on time (and when has any UK rail project ever been on time, much like the trains?).  Additionally, on the A421 - the main road east to MK, Bedford and Felixstowe - they built an expensive temporary bridge over the road so as to not having to have traffic lights for their plant to cross, yet seem to have to close that road every other day (and the diversion signs for that take (when they actually put them out) takes you to a closed road).

At least the M25/A3 junction, when complete, offers hope of improvement. Not that just putting a larger roundabout will really help long term - that junction needs some free flowing sliproads, so its a wasted opportunity :( - where as a 3rd train line between the rough end of Birmingham city centre and Wormwood Scrubs* doesn't really provide anything to anybody.

*The bit from Wormwood Scrubs to Euston still hasn't been planned or properly funded, and is estimated to be another >£20bn (around £1000 for each UK person in employment).

You wish ;D

Something occurred to me as I drove past J10 tother day having gone up the A24 for a change...

After all they've done to the junction, all they have actually achieved in 2.5 years is make the roundabout between the A3 and M25 bigger. The M25 still bottle necks past it because it's still 4 lanes into 3. Fracking morons... That's been the problem with it since it first opened in 1985/6.

And I say that with utmost certainty as my weekly journey to/from school was A217/M25/A3. In that time the only thing that's changed is that lorries are governed and the traffic speed has almost halved.

My hope being that the larger roundabout will stop it queuing back onto the live lanes of the M25.  Obviously, because of the current fascination of putting traffic lights on roundabouts, it won't.  But I can dream.

They've also cut down about 10,000 trees. I'm guessing one of the managers has a log burner.  ;)

Had to at the workshop this morning to take delivery of 3 sheets of steel, of course while I was waiting my pallet delivery turned up at home. I did ask him to drop it outside my garage but there was a car parked in the entrance so no chance of backing a lorry in. Now I have to wait another day for delivery, thing is there is no delivery time on tracking.

Since when have sellers or deliverers given a shit about about the convenience of the customer?  ;)
