Kwik Fit oil change
« on: 25 September 2008, 22:29:35 »

Had an oil and filter change done at kwik Fit yesterday.
They checked all tyres ,lights etc first.
I have no idea how much oil she takes but total cost was £25. (2.6)
The oil was Mobil semi synthetic plus a filter.

i would not take mine to kwikfit  :-X

Oil change on mine is around £11

Current price for 5L of GM Semi Synth is around £10, oil filter is a £1 (GM)

I also clean the breathers at the same time.

Is that TC price. Would have thought £25+ for the oil.

Dusty - Reasonable price for getting oil change. Assuming ShitFit did it properly.

Tunnie - oil around £12 and filter around £4 on TC

Yes it is.  TC price is a shade under £4 + VAT for this filter.  Not that you would know seeing as you never bought one, and nicked my spare ;D

Compared to here, cheapo.. if you use Mobil 1 10-40 60 £,
if GM 10-40 approx 40 £ for 6 liters

The young lad who did the oil change mentioned that I may have trouble removing the sump plug in future as it was worn and he therefore had problems fittng his spanner on it............is this a common problem. :-* :-* :-*
