2.2 / 2.0 cambelt party - Brackley
« on: 19 February 2007, 12:54:39 »

Is anyone interested? - This Saturday 24th Feb @ Brackley (NN13)

I shall be doing my own 2.2 cambelt with the help of JamesV6CDX  :y

CraigR expressed an interesting in bringing his 2.0 up for a check-up on the lamba sensor.

Also Craig has very kindly offered to film and edit a DVD, we shall be doing cambelt, waterpump & aux belt.

I have a fairly large driveway and double garage so we can fit a fair few people in, and also line the road!  :D

I just ordered the parts for mine from Autovaux:

GM Cambelt kit: £62.85 + Vat

Water Pump: 23.95 + vat

Auxbelt: £11.something + vat

Delivery is next day @ £4.95, nice chaps at Autovaux but make sure he sends the right one as 2.2 and 2.0 are different.

Delivery can be arranged to my house if needed, as long as its ordered today. (got mother waiting in for mine!  ;D)

If we get lots of people interested will stock up on Anti-freeze too  :y

Judging by the time a 20 min disc change took, you should get it done by Sunday evening then....

BTW, this is a different venue to the v6 cambelt party also being held in Brackley, but I suspect afterwards we may be able to meet up

Ah its ok, got a light in the Garage  ;)

James made short work of the TB's Rover, he did his 2.0 with belt, and pump in 1 hour. So leave rooms for bacon butties should get 2 in then on sat!  ;D

Seriously though i reckon we could get quite a few done...

Good stuff...

I'm totally condifent with the cambelt changes, so I'm happy to lead on the 4 pot one at Tunnie's if you are going to be wrapped up with the V6 one..

It's nice to know you're only half a mile away though ;D

I'm going to get myself on camera  ::)
