Blood Donation
« on: 14 January 2011, 18:30:06 »

I have just donated my tenth armful (well 470ml..actually)of blood today. I was given a "bronze" pack at the session.......This consists of a thank-you letter ......a certificate......and a crappy little pin/badge...(total cost to the NHS about 20p... :D :D)
I only donate because I seem to get the same nurse each time.......She is about 22 or 23...and is utterly beautiful.....The way her pert breasts jiggle as she puts the drain in my arm is an arousing sight.

I should add ....it is not advisable to be nursing a semi when you donate.. ;D ;D ;D...as this can cause you to become one of "the fainters" ;D ;D ;D.....In the ten times I have donated I have seen three "fainters".......two of them big guys who went down like a sack of spuds.....most likely due to lack of fluids (dehydration) before their donation.
I know that quite a few here at OOF  are regular blood donors.........If memory serves I believe that Mr Jimbob has donated some forty times or more. :y

Well done Opti :y :y A great cause which I strongly support. Unfortunately, due to my job/shift pattern, I am not always able to donate and am currently excluded due to the medication I'm on and the fact I've recently had Accupuncture :'(

Started to try and help with a fear of all things medical....the nurse thought the blood pressure machine was broken it read so high....calmed me down, and havent looked back, donate when and where I can  :y

i dont think i would be suitable as a blood donor with all the pills i have to take most of the time. but i would make a great sperm donor, could fill a few bottles of that every day and i would be doing a great service for all the jaffas out there.  ;)

In the past a regular donator ... but not been allowed to for the past 16 years due to a proscribed illness .... shame really as my blood group, whilst not "rare" is one of the minor ones ...

All I can say is .. "well done" to those that do ... and if you don't (and have no specific reason for not doing so) .. please give the matter a few moments thought.

It's not difficult or painful and can save many many lives

I got my Bronze award on my last donation, my next donation should have been Monday but because I'm off for surgery next Thursday I was advised not to give.  :(

I've only just realised by reading these posts that I have no idea what my blood group is   :-? :-?

I think this is the first time that I've ever even thought about it :-? :-?

Anybody know what the most rare and most common one's are?
