Good fun though, and no one hurt and no tears before bedtime either....

Nowadays, somewhat more prudent in how I use speed...    ;)

I have been stopped by Mr Policeman doing 70 in a 40  :-[.  Got off with a slapped wrist after a good old fashioned bollocking.

Got stopped for doing 37 in a 30 limit a few years back in my Sapphire Cosworth! probably the slowest Ive ever driven it  :-[.

The Traffic bike guy gave me the usual boll*cking but soon got round to asking me "So what do these go like then?"  >:(

176mph GPS verified, 185mph on speedo on a demo BMW K1200S motorbike on a deserted 3 mile long dual carriageway a few miles from the dealer

Did a few laps first to check for nasties then built up each time...

I lent my GPS to a mate of mine on a trip on the continent a few years back and he returned it with a smile like a cheshire cat and 125 MPH on the "Max Speed" memory.

I showed it to him a couple of weeks later showing 174 MPH. That made his jaw drop. I'd taken it up in a glider and flown at 120 Knots with a 30 knot tail wind. ;D

Got tomtom up to 131mph on a train from Leominster to Basignstoke collecting a car one day; felt like 80-90mph

An indicated 167 in my (slightly modded  ;)) Audi S2.

Twas a bright sunny Sunday a few years back and I had my sister and her fella in the car, 5 or 6 in the morning and the only other thing on the road was a Lexus LS430.

Came off the M25 at Kings Langley and got onto the Hemel bypass. This is uphill for the first 2 or 3 miles. I floored it, he floored it and tbh he was pulling away ever so slightly (not surprising really, 2.2 Turbo V's 4.3 V8), then we got onto the flat and neither of us lifted. I don't know whether his sphincter went or he topped out (don't think their limited?), but I went past him at about 155.

Sh!t scarey speeds, never even been close since. I tend to stick to 80-85 on the motorway, blend in at that speed. Seriously doubt the Elite has seen the good side of 100 more than twice in my ownership.

God im so OLD!!!!!!

164 in a shiney bright Senator 24v with VX remap and factory bilstein etc suspension, 4 up, on a motorway.
