I've done nothing, but last week had two new tyres put on the back 180 bucks each, to get through the MOT, which it did with only one advisory on the handbrake :y michelins all round now.

Had 500m from a tank in the 3.0l auto.  Never got close to that in the 3.2.  The 3.2 simply isn't anywhere near as economical.

Oddly, my current 3.2 seems better than both 3.0's I had before it....assumed better engine as newer design- even tho slightly larger?
Suspect the poxy, useless lower CR doesn't help matters...

to prove my lack of knowledge once again.......lower cr?
your not on your own with that one, i dont do abbreviations either ;D ;D

I was giving you a good tow ;D

I suspect my compression isn't what it once was, going by oil consumption.  But the old girl kept you honest despite her extra 5-6yrs age and extra 100k miles...

But then this part of the thread is about fuel consumption differences, and no matter how I drive, I'll always get 250+ miles from 67l of LPG from the 3.0l. Remind me how many miles you get from a tank (bearing in mind, I don't think our driving styles should create much difference in MPG)?

Eventually got round to fitting the OEM Park Pilot system that I bought off Twiglet about 18 months ago......... :-[
This replaced an el cheapo system that after being removed was fitted to my van to replace a worn out system that I fitted 5 years ago......

This week on my 3.2 Elite I've changed the cambelt, thermostat, plugs, changed the brake fluid, and I'm well satisfied, but knackered. ::) ::) ::)

OK, take LPG out of equation. 24.5 - 25.5mpg on petrol on my commute in 3.0l. 22-23mpg on petrol in 3.2

I think the BS figures are 10% or so? Actually, I vaguely recall 12%.  *BUT* we all know that is BS.

In reality, it probably puts back most of whats been lost over the years...
