Ok, I thought it might be close... a slot top and bottom to thread a suitable U bolt though, then bolt the rack to it, get the position set, then weld the U bolts in place...

Unsure of the rack mounting positions but one U bolt for each mounting position :y

Replaced the screenwasher pump, now squirts like a beauty all over the place  :D ;D ;D

Last night on the M1 acquired a nasty chip on the front screen. Not going particularly fast and not close to anyone. Seemed to come out of nowhere.  >:(
What's your experience of chip repair companies?

What have i done this week,so far ordered the following
Spring compressor clamps
3" lift spacers
Genuine gm sparkplugs
Oil filter
Air filter
Rear wiper
Cam gasket and o rings
Inlet gasket
Starter motor
Lpg stag diagnostic lead

Going to be a busy weekend when i get the time.
