Got it down a narrow lane (with grass down the middle), only to find that I ran out of ground clearance, so had to reverse about a mile up the lane, dragging the mirrors in the hedges each side. Downside of lowered cars.

got home from work-then me and my boy spent an hour bashing steering joints-to replace idler box--we got idler box off and tomorrow we will fit new one :y-also noticed that to do tracking-you adjust one nut that alters length of steering bar--genius-pity other cars not so simple :y

Changed rear brake pads ... developed an "odd" noise when braking over the weekend so took them apart ... one pad was completely separate from the back plate .. :(  mind you, the back plate was solid in the caliper... took some shifting.... and only done 30,000 miles ... looked about 1/2 used :(  All cleaned up and loose again, brakes working well ... except the handbrake.

Need to check the auto gearbox level s it seems to take it's time to change gear first thing in the morning.

Worzel,

That might be the car holding the gear to warm the cats up. Normal from a cold start.
