Picked up a small chunk of the rear coil spring off the road which dislodged its self out on a corner with potholes, It's typical how cars tend to meet you on the worst spots or I could have probably avoided them ::) , Still... It would have broken at some point anyway.

Sounded like a spanner hitting the ground at the time, Thought it best to find a spot to park and have a look, Turns out it's from the drivers side rear.

Spent yesterday cutting out floor rust on my Transit after a water leak that I ignored  :'( caused a 2" hole on the passenger floor . Primed all remaining areas with Zinc primer. Welded in a new section this morning and ground off welds , seam sealed and primed ready for painting the floor area when the rain stops......
Went on to build up the handbrake system on my BMW 635 which made the Omega system seem  a breeze . All new parts , and I mean ALL, but my fingers are aching after compressing those damned retaining springs.
Next week the Omega gets dug out of it's six month slumber  :y

Given the diff mounts a work out, seem to be upto the task :y Jury still out on the way the car drives, but shocks are past their best...

Rear subframe polys tweaked as found to be not seated correctly upon inspection for wear :-\

Got insurance sorted today ... £1210 TPFT @ 30 years old with no NCB (cars kept blowing up) and only had licence for 2 years ... apparently driving a car owned by the company I worked for and also their vans counted for nothing  ::)

Not so bad though a Micra was nearly the same price to insure lol :D

Replaced the heater matrix as per Bodgit and Scarpers guide :y

I wonder where it's leaking from...

Old vs. New...

All back together, nice and toasty warm and leak free 8)

Just got to refit the carpet once it's confirmed as fixed :y
